We have an open position for Tutti 1st violin.

The audition will take place on Wednesday 5th of November 2025, at 10:00 AM in Studie 4 at DR Koncerthuset, Emil Holms Kanal 20, 2300 København.

REPERTOIRE:

1st round:
W.A. Mozart, Violin Concerto no. 3, 4 or 5, 1st mvt. with cadenza.
Orchestral excerpts

2nd round:
1st mvt. with cadenza of one of the following concertos:
Brahms, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius or Nielsen
Orchestral excerpts

3rd round:
W.A. Mozart, Violin Concerto no. 3, 4 or 5, 2nd mvt. without cadenza.
Orchestral excerpts

Shortly after the deadline, the jury will review all applicants and categorize them into three groups: direct invitation to the 1st round, invitation to the pre-round via video, or not invited.

Tuning: 442 Hz

An accompanist will be provided at the audition. Applicants are responsible for all expenses related to travel and rehearsal.

• Application deadline: 25th of September 2025
• 1st of October 2025: All applicants will be informed whether they are invited directly to the first round, must submit a video recording, or not invited.
• Video submission deadline: 15th of October 2025
• 20th of October: Candidates who have submitted a video will be informed whether they are invited to the first round or not.

Salary and conditions of employment are negotiable under the current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (Landsdelsorkestrene). Employment for non-EU residents is contingent on obtaining a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for any costs associated with obtaining these permits.

Lumbye Akademiet søger: Violinist

Periode: 1. oktober 2025 til 30. september 2027

Lumbye Akademiet er Copenhagen Phils orkesterakademi, etableret i oktober 2022. Allerede i løbet af de første semestre har orkesterakademiet oplevet stor succes med sine akademister, der har vundet professionelle prøvespil og konkurrencer i ind- og udland.

Forløbet på akademiet består af at spille med Copenhagen Phil samt Aarhus Symfoniorkester, deltage i masterclasses, workshops, mentaltræning, kropsbevidsthed, prøvespilstræning og kammermusikkoncerter. Målet er at ruste musikeren til en langvarig karriere som orkestermusiker.

Lumbye Akademiets toårige uddannelsesprogram er målrettet unge professionelle samt musikstuderende på højt niveau (minimum bachelorgrad forventes), som ønsker at opnå professionel orkestererfaring og få individuel støtte gennem prøvespilsprocessen.

Lumbye Akademiets tilgang til musikerprofessionen er holistisk og omfatter alle aspekter af virket som orkestermusiker i dag.

Udvalgte kandidater vil blive inviteret til prøvespil i København en måned før prøvespilsdatoen.

Alle EU-borgere opfordres til at ansøge uanset religiøs, kulturel, social baggrund eller seksuel orientering.

Samarbejde med Aarhus Symfoniorkester

Copenhagen Phil indgår i et udvekslingsprogram med Aarhus Symfoniorkester som en del af det 2-årige forløb. Dette betyder, at optagede akademister skal være forberedt på at deltage i et antal yderligere produktioner med Aarhus Symfoniorkester. Alle omkostninger ifbm. transport og logi er dækket, dertil kommer et tillæg for arbejdstid i orkestret.

Musikformidling og sprogkrav 

Foruden klassiske symfoniske programmer spiller og udvikler Copenhagen Phil årligt et antal koncerter med fokus på at formidle klassisk musik børn og unge samt til målgrupper, som ikke normalt kommer i koncertsalen. Dette er en essentiel del af orkestrets vision om at være en aktiv del af fødekæden som præsenterer orkestermusik for alle dele af befolkningen. Akademister vil derfor som del af deres forløb også blive involveret i disse formidlingsaktiviteter. Derfor forudsættes mundtlige danskkundskaber på et relevant niveau hos kommende akademister.
